SALT LAKE CITY – When it comes to playing games on back-to-back nights, the degree of difficulties doesn’t get much worse than the set of back-to-back games the Dallas Mavericks are about to complete.
One night after losing to the Lakers in Los Angeles, the Mavs find themselves facing the Utah Jazz tonight at 8 p.m. CT at the Vivint Smart Home Arena. It’s a Jazz team that had won 11 consecutive games overall — including five straight at home — before losing in their own backyard to Portland on Friday, 100-81.
The difficulties are more apparent considering the Mavs played in the Pacific Time Zone on Friday night and then lost an hour when they flew to the Mountain Time Zone right after suffering that 124-102 defeat to the Lakers.
