DALLAS — Returning home after seeing their three-game win streak come to an abrupt end Thursday night, the Dallas Mavericks won’t have time to wallow in their own self-pity just 24 hours later.
Looking to bounce back after a 99-95 defeat Thursday in Miami, the Mavericks (14-28) will quickly attempt to turn their attention to a Utah Jazz team that they’ve already lost to twice this season. The Mavs will also try to correct the late-game miscues that cost them Thursday’s game after being outscored by the Heat 29-22 in the fourth quarter. And despite leading the Mavericks with 19 points on 7-of-16 shooting during that loss, 13-time All-Star Dirk Nowitzki knows he may have to do even more to help his team begin a three-game homestand with a win.
