Game 42: Mavs at Heat

Edging out the Bulls after swingman Wesley Matthews’ go-ahead three-pointer with 11.7 seconds remaining, the Mavericks (14-27) will now attempt to finish their two-game road trip on a high note Thursday night in Miami. The Mavs will also try to continue their recent surge up the Western Conference standings in the first game of a back-to-back that concludes Friday night at home against the Utah Jazz. And after showing their resiliency in a hostile environment during their last win, the Mavericks will look to once again display that they are road tested Thursday against the upstart Heat (12-30).

“You know, we’re just competing and coming up on top, leaving everything out there,” Matthews said after playing the role of hero during Tuesday’s win.
