Game 30: Mavs at Spurs

SAN ANTONIO — After pushing the defending champion Golden State Warriors for two quarters before eventually suffering a 112-97 defeat Thursday on the road, the Dallas Mavericks will attempt to put together a complete 48 minutes against a very familiar foe Saturday night.

Entering the halftime intermission tied with the Warriors at 48-all, the Mavericks (8-21) ran out of steam in the final two quarters. They’ll now attempt to bounce back Saturday in San Antonio while wrapping up the season series against the in-state rival Spurs (19-10). But after seeing the Warriors get hot at the right time, Mavs coach Rick Carlisle knows his team will have to sustain its level of success in order to replicate Tuesday’s 95-89 victory at home against the Spurs and even the series at 2-2.
