SALT LAKE CITY — Unable to string together consecutive wins after falling to a 95-85 defeat Wednesday night at home against Detroit, the Dallas Mavericks now hope to find success 48 hours later on the road.
Traveling to Salt Lake City for Friday night’s matchup against the Utah Jazz, the Mavericks (6-19) will try to learn from Wednesday loss after squandering a 12-point advantage in the second half. But with Tunisian center Salah Mejri listed as questionable for Friday’s contest and the team still playing without 13-time All-Star Dirk Nowitzki (right Achilles strain), veteran guard J.J. Barea (left calf strain) and starting center Andrew Bogut (right knee injury) in the lineup, the Mavericks will admittedly face another daunting task.
