DALLAS — After falling to a second straight loss following a lackluster performance during Wednesday’s 120-89 defeat against Sacramento, the Dallas Mavericks will quickly try to correct their miscues two nights later in the final outing of a four-game homestand.
Playing without 13-time All-Star Dirk Nowitzki (right Achilles strain), starting center Andrew Bogut (right knee injury), veteran J.J. Barea (left calf strain) and 26-year-old guard Seth Curry (right knee sprain), the Mavericks (4-17) would remain within striking distance through two quarters before collapsing in the second half. The Mavs would also commit several uncharacteristic mistakes, surrendering 34 points off their season-high 23 turnovers.
