Game 17: Mavs vs. Spurs

DALLAS — After dropping the first of four regular-season matchups against the Southwest Division-leading San Antonio Spurs just last week, the Dallas Mavericks will enter Wednesday’s showdown at American Airlines Center with revenge on their minds.

Playing without 13-time All-Star Dirk Nowitzki (right Achilles strain), starting point guard Deron Williams (left calf strain), center Andrew Bogut (calf), undersized guard J.J. Barea (left calf strain) and fellow veteran Devin Harris (right great toe sprain), the Mavericks (3-13) put up a valiant fight before eventually falling to a 96-91 loss in San Antonio on Nov. 21. The Mavs will now once again be without Nowitzki and Barea as the two veteran leaders continue to rehab their way back onto the court.
