Game 16: Mavs vs. Pelicans

DALLAS — Returning to American Airlines Center after concluding a stretch of 10 out of 15 games on the road to begin the season, the Dallas Mavericks will now attempt to build some much-needed momentum on their home hardwood.

Falling to a 128-90 defeat Friday night on the road against the defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers, the Mavericks (2-13) continued to slide to an eight-game losing streak. They’ll now try to make up ground in front of their hometown fans, playing eight of the next 10 games on their own court. However, while welcoming in a New Orleans Pelicans team that has won four of its last five games by working guard Jrue Holiday back into the lineup, the Mavs know they’ll once again have their hands full with a Southwest Division rival Sunday evening.
