Game 10: Mavs at Celtics

Continuing to play without 13-time All-Star Dirk Nowitzki (right Achilles soreness), starting point guard Deron Williams (left calf strain) and veteran reserve Devin Harris (right great toe sprain), the shorthanded Mavericks (2-7) fell to a 93-77 defeat Monday in New York against the Knicks. The Mavs will now attempt to bounce back 48 hours later against the up-and-down Celtics (5-5), hoping to send the Boston team to a second straight loss as well after its 106-105 defeat Monday in New Orleans. And with Nowitzki, Williams and backup big man Quincy Acy all listed as questionable for Wednesday’s showdown, Mavs new addition Harrison Barnes says he will attempt to put the team on his back and carry it to a much-needed road win.
