Gafford sprains left ankle during 119-104 loss to Grizzlies

MEMPHIS – Jaren Jackson Jr. finished with 35 points and 13 rebounds, and the Memphis Grizzlies overcame a 12-point deficit and went on to defeat the injury-riddled Dallas Mavericks, 119-104, Monday night before a crowd of 16,412 at FedEx Forum.

The Mavs (20-16) lost their season-high fifth game in a row and will try to right the ship on Tuesday when they host the Los Angeles Lakers at American Airlines Center.

Jackson was a rough rider all night as he converted 13-of-23 shots, grabbed five offensive rebounds and dished out five assists as Memphis improved to 24-13.
