The Dallas Mavericks have made some changes to their basketball operations staff, headlined by the addition of former Denver Nuggets head coach Melvin Hunt. Rumors had been swirling that the two sides were nearing an agreement, but ESPN’s Marc Stein officially confirmed the chatter this evening.

Hunt, who also served as an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2005 to 2010 and Nuggets assistant from 2010 to his promotion following Brian Shaw‘s dismissal, will be replacing assistant coach Monte Mathis on the bench.
