The Mavericks hadn't heard from the NBA about a possible downgrading of J.J. Barea's flagrant-two foul on Blake Griffin, but they remain hopeful that the penalty will be lessened.
It already cost Barea nearly half of the game against the Clippers when he was ejected.
Barea said he still is holding out hope that the infraction is reduced.
"I haven't heard nothing back," he said. "Hopefully, (they) will tell me today. But it's over. I'll move on to the next game."
Asked if it was a clear flop on Griffin's part, he said: "Little bit of my push and his flop.
