The winding road to an NBA arena can have more bizarre twists and business turns than would be seem normal to not only a fan, but a 6-foot-11 forward such as Dwight Powell.
Yet three years later, despite being a part of three trades and four organizations before his first professional season was at the halfway point, Powell has found a home and perhaps a significant role with the Dallas Mavericks.
And judging from how head coach Rick Carlisle is using the former Stanford Cardinal big man, Powell’s future in Dallas is looking long-term.
“In the group he’s playing with,” Carlisle said.
