LOS ANGELES – Luka Doncic returned to the court after over a week nursing an injury, and the Dallas Mavericks put up a strong defensive performance in defeating the Los Angeles Clippers, 112-104, in overtime, on Tuesday night at STAPLES Center.
With the victory, the Mavs snapped a three-game losing streak and padded their record to 10-7 going into Saturday’s home game against the Washington Wizards.
Paul George buried a dramatic three-point shot at the buzzer to send the game into overtime deadlocked at 103. But the Mavs played some lockdown defense in the overtime session as they limited the Clippers to just one point – a free throw by George following a technical foul from Kristaps Porzingis.
