One night following a very disappointing loss to the Houston Rockets, the Dallas Mavericks regrouped and defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, 116-101, on Thursday night at American Airlines Center.
It was the eighth victory in the last 11 games for the Mavs, who padded their record to 29-12. The Bucks dropped to 32-19.
Milwaukee played without forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who won the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award the last two seasons, but missed his third straight game with a sore left knee.
Luka Doncic led the Mavs with 27 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, Kristaps Porzingis finished with 26 points, 17 rebounds and two blocks, Josh Richardson collected 14 points, five rebounds and two steals, Maxi Kleber had 12 points and five rebounds, and Dorian Finney-Smith contributed nine points, 10 rebounds and three blocks.
