NEW ORLEANS -- Dirk Nowitzki, like all his teammates and coaches, is growing tired of losing close games on the road.
The Mavericks' effort can't be faulted. They play hard. They just don't always play well or smart.
Therein lies the problem.
Nowitzki said after the 114-112 loss to New Orleans on Friday -- their eighth in a row on the road and a game that dropped their overall road record to 2-14 -- that the Mavericks need to be fed up with being unable to close out so many tight games on the road.
"Yeah, we got to find a way to win," he said after scoring 11 points in 11 minutes.
