PHOENIX -- Even though he had a "timmm-berrrr" moment, Dirk Nowitzki came out of his season debut in game No. 27 in relatively good shape.
It was just a 6-minute, 10-second stretch bridging the first and second quarters in a sloppy 99-89 loss to the Phoenix Suns.
The outcome of the game wasn't what the Mavericks wanted. But having Nowitzki on the court was therapeutic in its own way.
"I felt OK," he said. "Obviously the wind wasn't great. There was a stretch where I went back and forth a couple times and then I fell over like a tree at some point [because] I was so tired.
