Dirk Nowitzki is tired of sitting around and watching the Mavericks load up in the loss column.
Actually, he hasn't been sitting around. He's been working as hard as ever to get back to games when his right Achilles is free and clear of potential danger in the future.
That should happen soon.
When it does, it will restore something that has been in short supply for the Mavericks: hope.
Nowitzki, along with J.J. Barea and Andrew Bogut, are a major part of the Mavericks' nucleus. Before New Year's Day, all of them could be back in game action.
