The Minnesota Timberwolves could have found another gem in Nemanja Bjelica.
Going into Sunday’s matchup, Germany and Serbia was both standing at a 1-0 record. With Germany knocking off Iceland (read recap here) and Serbia knocking off a Gasol-led Spain, both teams were locked in at staying undefeated.
With Dirk Nowitzki and Dennis Schroder leading the way for Germany, it was Serbia’s Nemanja Bjelica that had the heads turning during the opening games. In the victory over Spain, Bjelica had 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists to lead the way for Serbia.
