Add another milestone to the historic career of Dirk Nowitzki.
The Dallas Mavericks legend grabbed his 10,000 career defensive rebound Sunday against the Memphis Grizzlies at FedEx Forum. He’s just the fifth player to reach that number.
Nowitzki, who started in what is likely to be one of the final games of his career, pulled down the rebound early in the first quarter. He had five defensive boards in the first half. He did not play in the second half. He started the game with 9,999 and trails only Kevin Garnett, Karl Malone, Tim Duncan and Robert Parish in the category.
