After a brief pause, he added: "Nobody wants to be 0-3, either."
The Mavericks can't start digging their way out of this hole until they win that first game, which they'll attempt to do against the Jazz at 8 p.m. tonight. Utah is coming off a 106-91 win at San Antonio on Tuesday night.
The Jazz had not won in San Antonio since 2010 and had lost 30 of their past 32 visits there.
While the fatigue could be a factor on the second half of a back-to-back, it will only help the Mavericks if they make it a problem for Utah by being the aggressor.
