If you would have told me even three years ago that Dwight Powell would be the starting center for a good Dallas Mavericks team one day, I would have called you crazy. If you told me the same thing today, I wouldn’t think twice about it. That is legitimately how much better Powell has gotten over the past few years with the Mavs.
When Powell came to the Mavericks, he was just an added player to a deal surrounding point guard, Rajon Rondo. Obviously the Rondo trade is a topic that most of us prefer not to talk about, but in the end, it doesn’t look all that bad.
