This may not sound like a great deal so far but I mean, c’mon, Mark Cuban and Donnie Nelson both knew this was not going to sit well with the fans. According to Shams Charania of The Vertical, The Mavericks and Heat are working on a deal that will send Josh McRoberts and a future 2nd rounder to Miami for Josh McRoberts.
This deal came quickly after reports that Miami was trying to clear up some cap space to bring James Johnson back on. However, as we all know, the Mavericks always are able to see the big picture and, in this case, they saw something that was really going to work for us.
