The Dallas Mavericks opened their 2015-16 season with an impressive win on the road in Phoenix behind Raymond Felton‘s 18 points and six assists. The win gave head coach Rick Carlisle his 339th win with the franchise, moving him into a tie at the top with Don Nelson.
Nelson coached the team for eight seasons in the late-90s and early-00s, leading the team to 60 wins in 2002-03 and amassing a record of 339-251. Carlisle has been slightly better in his time with the Mavericks, with a record of 339-220 and a championship ring.
