Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic will not play Sunday against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to left ankle soreness, the team announced.
Doncic sprained that ankle on Nov. 15, missed the next three games and has dealt with persistent soreness since. He turned the ankle again during Friday's road loss to the Indiana Pacers and said afterward that he probably shouldn't have finished the game.
"I probably shouldn't have played the fourth [quarter]," said Doncic, who waved off a substitute after turning the ankle during the third quarter but was noticeably limping and grimacing.
