The Dallas Mavericks drafted a franchise-altering player in Luka Doncic this year. The rookie is taking the NBA by storm and continues to be the focal point of the opposition’s game plan.
The Mavericks squared off with the Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 30 in LA. It was not a memorable night for the Mavs as a poor second half led to a 114-103 loss on Friday.
Doncic struggled shooting from the field but had a few standout defensive plays. The one that comes to mind first is a help defense on LeBron James that lead to the 19-year-old blocking the MVP twice.
