The Dallas Mavericks had a tough game on their plate on Dec. 4. The Minnesota Timberwolves came to Dallas after two days of rest. The Mavericks defeated the Pelicans in New Orleans on Tuesday night. It was just the second back-to-back of the season for the Mavs.
Kristaps Porzingis rested on the second night the first time. The Mavs are going to cautious with the 24-year-old star. He missed all of the 2018-2019 season after tearing his ACL. Porzingis signed a new five-year max contract with Dallas in the offseason. They want to keep him healthy long-term.
