The Dallas Mavericks are looking for a new head coach and president of basketball operations. Donnie Nelson and the franchise mutually parted ways with head coach Rick Carlisle resigning the following day. The Mavs’ u200blong-held leadership structure was gone and the team was searching for two new decision-makers to start the most important offseason in franchise history.

On June 24, Carlisle agreed to join the Indiana Pacers as their new head coach. He strongly supported Jason Kidd to replace him in his former role.
