The Dallas Mavericks hosted the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday evening. The Spurs are in the thick of the playoff race once again. Dallas came in struggling and riding a five-game losing streak. It has not been all bad for the Mavs, though.
Rookie Jalen Brunson continues to take advantage of his increased role. He was playing 30.5 minutes per game over his last six heading into Tuesday’s game, and the production was following.
Brunson took it to another level against the Spurs. He produced 34 points on 12 of 16 shooting from the field and a perfect seven of seven on his free throws.
