The Dallas Mavericks will not have backup point guard, Delon Wright, for tonight’s contest with the Sacramento Kings, according to Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News. Wright is currently averaging 21 minutes per game, so the Mavs will have to figure out a new strategy for tonight’s game.
It is unclear how long Wright will be out for, but he is considered day-to-day at this point. The official diagnosis from yesterday was a right groin strain which means that any x-rays came back negative and his prognosis should improve quickly. This is just from my general understanding of the injury and no background medical knowledge of any kind.
