The Dallas Mavericks announced there newest coaching addition to the staff for the upcoming season as Peter Patton. Patton was a former player for DePaul University from 1992-1996. Most recently, Patton was the shooting coach on staff for the Minnesota Timberwolves, but Dallas went out and got him to be the team shooting coach this year.
The Dallas Mavericks already have one of the best shooters in the league with Dirk Nowitzki. There is no secret that he is possibly the most accomplished 7-foot shooter in NBA history and will likely not require the services of the new hire.
