Dallas Mavericks: Grading Willie Cauley-Stein’s 2019-2020 season so far

The Dallas Mavericks needed a center in January after Dwight Powell suffered a season-ending Achilles injury. It did not take them long to find a dance partner. The Mavs traded a second round pick for Willie Cauley-Stein.

The seven-footer had just signed with the Warriors in the 2019 offseason. He started 37 of his 41 games played for Golden State. Cauley-Stein was producing strong numbers too. He averaged 7.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 1.2 blocks in 22.9 minutes per game while shooting 56.0 percent from the field.

His time in Dallas has not gone as planned so far.
