The Dallas Mavericks offseason did not go as fans expected. They entered the summer with cap space. Supporters dreamed of landing another All-Star to pair with Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis. Instead, the Mavs focused on re-signing their talent and adding a few role players to fill the gaps.
The centerpiece was agreeing to a five-year max contract with Porzingis. That locks in the Mavericks young core until at least 2023. Dallas also re-signed Maxi Kleber, Dorian Finney-Smith, and J.J. Barea.
The additions were Seth Curry, Delon Wright, and Boban Marjanovic.
