The deal happened and Dallas Mavericks fans are excited, for good reason. Dallas and DeAndre Jordan have agreed to a 1-year/$24.1 million contract that will be signed as soon as the moratorium period ends. This deal has been picked apart in the few hours that it has been known but, for the most part, people are happy with it.
For one thing, the Mavs get a top-notch center for next season. Whether it is for one year or many, that has to be something to be excited about. Dallas is still slow to forgive the terrible atrocity that DJ committed in 2015, but things will change when they see him basically living above the rim.
