The Dallas Mavericks signed God Shammgod as a Player Development Coach in 2016. He continues serving in that role today.
Some Mavs fans may not know a lot about Shammgod, so let us take a look. He was a McDonald’s All-American in 1995. Shammgod played two years of NCAA basketball at Providence before being drafted in the second round with the 45th overall pick in 1997.
He played one season in the NBA with the Washington Wizards. Shammgod took his talents all over the globe where he balled until 2009. He led the Chinese Basketball Association in scoring in 2004.
