The Dallas Mavericks signed Daryl Macon last offseason to a two-way contract. The rookie went undrafted, but showed off his talents during summer league. Adding a young 23-year-old scorer did wonders for the Texas Legends. Macon averaged 19 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game in the G-League this season.
Unfortunately, Macon’s playing time in Dallas was sparse. Being a point guard, he began the season behind Dennis Smith Jr., J.J. Barea, and Jalen Brunson. Even after the Barea injury and the trades, Macon had to steal minutes away from Luka Doncic and Brunson.
