The Dallas Mavericks gave a summer league opportunity to a familiar face. Antonius Cleveland made the most of it. During his five games in Vegas, Cleveland averaged 16.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.4 steals, and 1.0 block in 24.9 minutes per game. He shot 56.1 percent from the field.
That play earned Cleveland a two-way contract with the Mavs for the upcoming season. He is no stranger to Dallas. They signed him to a two-way deal back in 2017, and Cleveland played 13 games with the Mavericks before being waived a few months later.
