The Dallas Mavericks entered the All-Star break with 33 wins and sitting seventh in the Western Conference. Dallas has 27 games left in their regular season. They are 8.5 games ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers who currently sit ninth in the West. The Mavs will be back in the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
The stretch run of the season will determine their seed. The Mavericks are five games behind the Denver Nuggets who currently sit second. They are just 4.5 up on the eighth-seeded Grizzlies, though. A hot run could see them have homecourt in the first round.
