Preseason predictions were all over the place for the Dallas Mavericks over the summer as some “experts” had them as a top 5 team in the West while some said they would be at the bottom of the league.
Record wise, Dallas is one of the five worst teams in the league as only the Sixers have less wins at the moment. Fans are already eyeing potential draft prospects and most assume the season in Dallas is already over.
But I’m not ready to join that group quite yet (ask me again in two weeks).
Even though the Mavericks have a plethora of injury concerns and a lot of offensive issues to work out, there is still reason to believe in Dallas behind a team led by Rick Carlisle.
