Rick Carlisle has been the backbone for the Dallas Mavericks for more than a decade now. Hired back in 2008 after a short tenure with the Indiana Pacers, Carlisle immediately put in work to get the Mavericks a championship they longed for.
He coached the Mavs to three straight seasons with at least 50 wins. In the third year, he led the Mavericks to their second NBA Finals appearance, and first championship win.
Even now, Carlisle continues to give his efforts to lead the Mavericks back to relevancy past April. Dallas is in a third consecutive year of missing the playoffs, but Carlisle still works with the roster that he’s got.
