The Mavericks' won't have to give up anything except a stack of money to get DeAndre Jordan after the 6-11 center on Friday opted out of the final season of his contract to become an unrestricted free agent.
Jordan had an 11:59 p.m. deadline on Friday and he turned down the $24.1-million that he would have earned in 2018-19 to clear the decks for him to sign with the Mavericks.
Now all that's left is for the Mavericks to execute their plan and come to terms with Jordan after 11 p.m. Saturday night, when the NBA free-agent gate opens.
