In a rematch of last year’s NBA Finals, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Derrick White combined for 69 points, and the Boston Celtics defeated the Dallas Mavericks, 122-107, on Saturday night at American Airlines Center.
Kyrie Irving (22 points, five assists), Quentin Grimes (20 points, seven rebounds and Daniel Gafford (19 points, 15 rebounds, three blocks) and paved the way for the Mavs, who dropped to 24-22 going into Monday’s home game against the Washington Wizards. In addition, P. J. Washington collected 17 points and eight rebounds, Spencer Dinwiddie fouled out with 12 points and Jaden Hardy tallied 10 points.
