HOUSTON — Early in Tuesday’s game, the Houston crowd was a shell of what it had been in the first two games at Toyota Center.
The earlier start time, 90 minutes earlier than Games 1 and 2, might have had something to do with it. There were large expanses of empty seats when the game started.
The crowd got rowdier as the night went on, but it didn’t concern Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle.
“I’m not concerned about that,” he said pregame. “A hostile environment many times can bring better focus. We’ve been a good road team the last few years.
