The Mavericks on Friday announced that Jalen Brunson had surgery to fix a labrum injury in his right shoulder, which was hurt on Feb. 22 at Atlanta.
With the season suspended, this is a good opportunity to have necessary medical work done and perhaps miss fewer games than would normally be the case.
The Mavericks and the NBA are on suspension for at least 30 days, commissioner Adam Silver said in a letter to fans.
