The Mavericks' organization did not have a good week, to say the least. The franchise was rocked by a sexual harassment scandal, as well as a handful of other disheartening subplots. Here's a breakdown of how it went down:

Feb. 14: Don Carter dies

Don Carter, the Mavericks' co-founder and first owner, died at age 84. Carter had been in declining health and was rarely at the American Airlines Center for games.

The team will honor Carter with a moment of silence on Feb. 26 during the game against Indiana. The Mavs will also wear a commemorative patch on their jerseys for the rest of the season to honor Carter.
