Boston used a surge in the second half to defeat the Mavs, 109-106

Kemba Walker, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined for 82 points to lead the Boston Celtics to a 109-103 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night at American Airlines Center.

The loss dropped the Mavs to 18-9 going into a two-game road trip that starts Friday in Philadelphia and continues in Toronto on Sunday before the Mavs return home to host the San Antonio Spurs in Dec. 26.

The Mavs trailed 104-94 before rallying and getting within 107-103 of the Celtics after Ryan Broekhoff came off the bench to bury a 3-pointer and converting two of three free throws after he was fouled with 20.
