For the second year in a row, Chandler Parsons has been limited in the first month of the season because of his left knee.
It’s the reason the Mavericks were willing to let him walk away after two years in Dallas and back up the Brinks truck to pay Harrison Barnes.
So far, that’s about the only thing Maverick fans have to smile about this season.
The results for Barnes certainly look good - particularly when stacked up next to what Parsons has done in Memphis.
The Grizzlies and Parsons will make their first appearance in Dallas on Friday in a game that will be vital for the Mavericks if they expect to have any hope to salvage this thing.
