Backed by his floater game, Marshall having a career season

NEW YORK — Over his last 12 games, Naji Marshall has torched NBA defenses so often that it’s as if there’s no one trying to really stop him.

During that stretch of games, the Dallas Mavericks’ forward is averaging 23.5 points and 7.8 rebounds while shooting a robust 54.1 percent from the field. And Marshall poured in at least 20 points in nine of those 12 games, including racking up a pair of 30-point outings.

One of Marshall’s 30-point games occurred during Monday’s 128-113 loss to the New York Knicks. That includes the five-year veteran scoring a career-high 38 points on 17-of-25 shooting.
