Free agent center Amar'e Stoudemire has signed with the Miami Heat on a one-year deal worth about $1.5 million, the team announced late Friday afternoon.
Stoudemire played 23 games with the Mavericks last season after he was bought out of his contract with the Knicks. While he proved his low post scoring was still a weapon, Stoudemire did little in the way of defense and the Nowitzki/Stoudemire front court combinations were dreadful to watch.
While I wish Stoudemire the best, he just wasn't a great fit next to this iteration of Dirk and the Mavericks are best off letting him go.
