The power forward position has been the constant for the Mavericks since Dirk Nowitzki became “Dirk.” He will go down as one of the most unique players the league has ever seen. I still believe his performance during the 2011 Playoffs was one of the most dominant and efficient performances in league history. It was death by jumper for the opposition en route to that championship.
Since there, age has started to catch up to Dirk. Injuries have piled up, rest now has to be taken into account when trying to play him, his defense has regressed, and there have been times where he just looks tired and old.
